A thigh lift is usually performed with general anesthesia. Dr. Ortegon makes an incision from your groin to your hipbone (to correct the outer thigh) or from the groin toward the knee, along the inner thigh. During any body contouring procedure, the doctor will take care to place incisions in the natural folds of skin, so they can be more easily concealed. The excess skin is lifted and trimmed so it is taut, and the incisions are then closed. If necessary, Dr. Ortegon may also utilize liposuction to remove excess fatty tissue in (or around) the thighs.

Your Thigh Lift Results And Recovery

Immediately after surgery you will need to rest and wear compression garments. Dr. Ortegon will provide specific post-operative instructions, which you should follow closely for best results. He will also provide medication to help manage post-operative pain. You may have a follow up appointment at our San Antonio practice to have your stitches removed.
